Elon Musk Announces Expansion of xAI's Chatbot Grok to All X Premium Subscribers

Elon Musk, the CEO of xAI, revealed that the artificial intelligence startup's chatbot, Grok, will now be accessible to all premium subscribers of the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

 

This expansion comes after previously being limited to Premium+ subscribers.

In a recent development, Musk also mentioned that xAI would make Grok open-source, following a legal dispute with OpenAI over its shift towards a for-profit model, allegedly deviating from its original mission.

This decision to open-source Grok aligns xAI with other companies such as Meta Platforms and France's Mistral, which have embraced open-source AI models.

 It is anticipated that making Grok's code accessible to the public will encourage experimentation and foster innovation in the AI community.
